Minister of state for Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika has told the National Assembly that the concession of four airports in the country cannot be stopped because due process is followed and all relevant stakeholders are being carried along.
Sirika who spoke when he appeared before the joint Aviation committees of the Senate and House, said the concession would double the revenue, double the passengers and fast track the development of the airports.
The federal government recently announced the concessioning of the Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Port Harcourt international airports.
He said the stakeholders in the country’s aviation sector were involved and that numerous meetings were held with unions in the sector on the exercise.
